Ever feel like you want to make changes but don’t know where to start?

Have you started working toward some big goals but you got derailed and threw your hands up in despair?

Well, you are in the right place!  Helping you make a change and creating your ‘Big Life’ is exactly what I do around here.

My goal is to help you feel more amazing about your life than you ever thought possible by showing you how to achieve all those things you want by starting small.  betsy circle face
Really small.

That’s right!  Whether it’s health, career changes or focusing on your family, creating a Big Life is simpler when you start with small practices to push you in the right direction.

  • Want to make a change in your relationships?  Simple ideas work best because changing everything all at once isn’t sustainable.
  • Want to make a change in your health?  Start with one small action until you can do it without thinking, then add on something new.

So what’s the catch? This sounds too simple?
That the idea.
We have to start where it’s so simple, it would be ridiculous not to stay on track.  Practice makes permanent and once you get one tiny thing down, then we add on the next.

I’ve got tricks for getting started, ways to remember and a fun approach to staying on track.

But wait a minute… what is ‘Living Big’ anyway?
Living Big may be working in a career that fuels you and makes you fulfilled.  It may be spending every weekend with your family.  Maybe it’s travel.  Whatever YOUR Living Big is, we’re going to get it!
My passion is helping you find your Big Life!

There is so much we can do together!

So who the heck am I?

Well, I’m Betsy.
Growing up in Vermont, I had a really kicking childhood.  Not quite Norman Rockwell, but certainly full of its share of snowball fights, county fairs, and family dinners.

Her giftsIn high school, my mother died in an accident and it started my quest to Live Big.  I’ve always felt like I live more fully, with less fear and more, ‘What the hell, let’s see if it works!’ than friends who don’t live every day knowing, really knowing, that it could all end in a flash.

As a coach, I’ve watched people struggle to find their groove and with others things just clicked.  Bumps in the road didn’t seem to derail one group at all and they just kept pushing toward their vision of success.

Why was this?  What made the difference?

I think I know and it’s not very big.

It’s the small practices.

Sure it’s a great outlook and gratefulness.
It’s being aware that we aren’t going to be here forever and we should just jump in the puddles if we want to.
But it’s also a pattern of pushing just a little bit every single day. Being thoughtful about our actions and being consistent.
It’s about not starting too big, in fact, it’s about starting ridiculously small.
And then building on.

I’ve used this principle myself throughout areas of my life, and I know it can work for you too.
So what’s your ‘Big Life’?  What would that be for you? Do you remember?
We can still get you there, join me and let’s make that happen!
(I do have some degrees and certifications too. I got my BA in Psychology from Castleton University. I have my Precision Nutrition Certification, a Certified Infinite Possibilities Trainer and have an NLP Practitioner Certification.)

I am a Competitive Masters Olympic Style Lifter (That’s the Clean & Jerk and The Snatch).  I competed last year in the Pan American Masters and got a bronze medal in my weight class…. which was pretty exciting!

I also used to be here.  Yep. That was me, after I had my daughter and found I was 80 pounds overweight. I learned so much working through that time in my life, but looking back, I wish I hadn’t been so cruel to myself through the journey.

I grew up just minutes from the Canadian border and loads of my friends spoke french growing up. We went to concerts in Montreal.  (Men at Work, Bryan Adams… 80’s kid here!)

I love black jelly beans. (Those things are delicious!) After high school, I went to Finland and they have the most AMAZING black liquorice ever!

Be sure to connect with me on Instagram! or Twitter... actually all over social media as @betsypake.  See you there!  (ps. my current obsession is snapchat! I’m Betsypake there too!)

Oh wait!  Don’t go yet… be sure to sign up to get on the list of all my favorite people and we can go out on this ride together!
