In the 8th century, Alchemy came to the west. It held the idea that metals were made up of certain substances that could be transmuted into gold or silver by means of the "Philosopher's Stone".⁣
I have found on my journey there are the "spiritual ones" and there are the "matter ones". Science and spirit. I see it, and you may too, as a mingling of the two together that creates great Alchemy in our lives. ⁣
The transmutation of the ordinary into the extraordinary.⁣
⁣
Matter matters. And so does Spirit. Because without the excitement of the unknown, life is much more boring.⁣
⁣
How this relates to real life is to look at all things together as a relationship.⁣
⁣
Let's look at Kathy. She really wants a particular kind of car, let's say, a convertible.⁣
She thinks about it, puts it on her vision board, dreams about it. Will that work to bring it to her? ⁣
Maybe. Maybe not. But if it works, it's not alchemy.⁣
⁣
Kathy sees the car, its fancy top, beautiful interior. She knows if she has it she will feel so free! The wind blowing through her hair. If she had this car, she could do anything! Even though it's clear in her mind... still, not Alchemy.⁣
⁣
Let's look at the relationship. Kathy sees who she could be with this car. She's not chasing the car. She's chasing herself. ⁣
⁣
The pill to swallow is that Kathy is longing for something different. She's unhappy with something currently and she believes that the car can change all that. When she's willing to sit with it and look at it.... that's when Alchemy begins.⁣
⁣
The more Kathy looks at what she's experiencing, the more she's defining and understanding where she is right now, Kathy will begin to change. When she has tools to shift her thinking and become clear on what will really cause her to feel fulfilled, she begins to alchemize. It's matter AND its spirit. ⁣
Will this cause her to get the car?⁣
⁣
It doesn't matter, because now the need for the car has changed. Kathy is different. ⁣
⁣
Thought magic.⁣
⁣

He is so much fun, makes you feel like you are still in your 20's and is as loyal as they come, both to family & friends and, of course, to UGA sports.⁣

Over the past 8 years, I have grown so much in this relationship. ⁣
⁣
I've learned a lot about listening, about not always having to be right and we have both struggled and even given up, just thankfully never at the same time! (if you're married, you feel me!)⁣

Right now is my favorite time being married to Craig, new adventures and new energy with lots of dreams for what's to come.⁣

It's funny because I use a LOT of what I learned on YouTube 🤪but what I learned in college most certainly propelled me forward on my path.⁣
My major was psychology .....⁣

I have so many ideas, but over the years, I haven'

I have so many ideas, but over the years, I haven't executed on some of the very best ones.⁣
I would start the process, and then get confused.⁣
⁣
A roadblock would come up in the process, or I'd feel like there was something I needed to do first and then I'd never get back to it.⁣
⁣
Have you had times like that? ⁣
Where you feel stuck or confused?⁣
⁣
It took me a while to realize that was fear!⁣
Fear taking me off course the best it knew how by making things seem overly complicated or too hard to figure out to be worth it.⁣
⁣
The thing is, I never thought FEAR was holding me back! ⁣
I'd never felt panicky or anxiety-ridden about things. ⁣
⁣
That's when it hit me that fear was showing up in sneaky little ways that I didn't recognize at first.⁣
⁣
Confusion.⁣
Comparison.⁣
Procrastination. (do you feel me on that one?!)⁣
Perfectionism.⁣
and even getting physically ill, so we are forced to slow down and stay where we are.⁣
⁣
Here's the good news: Once you are aware of the fear, it is so much easier to shift it!⁣
⁣
When we are lost in the middle of what is happening, we forget it's simply fear. When we are aware, we can deal with the thing that will make the difference, and begin to move forward, and start moving faster in the direction that we want.⁣
⁣
Now, when I feel confused now, I tell myself what it is, and keep moving forward in the face of it (or I hire it out! No slow down!)⁣
